Total Portability
The Water Alarm is a totally self contained detection device which can be used in a variety of situations.
The main unit houses all of the detection circuitry along with the batteries which allow it to be placed just about anywhere without the need for a mains voltage power supply.
It comes supplied with a three metre length of special sensor cable, which detects any water which comes into contact with it. The sensor cable can be installed, for example, around the base of temporary installations such as mobile air conditioners, pumps, water tanks ect or underneath domestic appliances such as washing machines & dishwashers, or even under baths and shower trays. The unit has also been used with great success in small marine craft.
The sensor cable is connected, via one and a half metres of non water sensitive cable, to a small battery powered electronic alarm module. The module can be attached to any convenient surface and provides a loud alarm whenever water reaches any part of the sensor cable. This alarm continues to sound until the system is switched off or the sensor cable dries out.
The electronic module is also fitted with an output socket that enables many units to be linked together for connection to a central alarm system, this makes these unit's highly suitable for use in guest houses, residential homes etc.
