The Floodline Groundhog was a self-contained single zone leak detection system. It would generate a leak alarm when any conductive liquid was present between the two detection probes. The unit could be connected to any control/building management system that has the facility to accept volt-free contacts.
The control/building management system may also be able to supply the required operating voltage of 12-24V ac/dc to the unit.
The unit has two LED indicators:
Power on (green)
Leak detected (flashing red)
A unique feature of Floodline Groundhog was its ability to support a slave probe or length of sensing cable via a Jack socket mounted on the rear of the unit. This feature made it possible to have a highly localised detection system without the added cost of a dedicated panel.
